From July 16-23, a team from Joy (15 people), will be traveling to minister in Guatemala, along with the ministries of Aselsi. At ASELSI, their focus involves loving the unloved through their ministry to the disabled kids who are usually cast aside in Guatemalan society and often disowned by their patriarchal fathers. It involves providing a location for quality medical care to a community that has almost none and giving not just medicine, but prayer and the gospel message. And, most importantly, it involves preaching the message, planting new churches, and training up Christ-followers who will sow gospel’s fertile seeds in Guatemala and beyond. ASELSI accomplishes this through their pastoral training program, centered in Chichicastenango, Guatemala, but with extensions in other neighboring countries, including Mexico and the United States.
Please Pray! "Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word..." (Col. 4:2, 3) We need your prayers as we continue to prepare our hearts and seek His leading for this missions trip.
